Welcome to Krawdaddy.net. I've had this site up five or six years now.  Not much has changed during that time.  It's still nothing special, just a place to put up pics for friends and family to see. There's a menu bar at the top of the page to help you navigate the site better.  I've been working more on my other sites lately www.AviationAlumni.com, my father in law's site www.Sweet-William.com,  and I'm working on two more that I hope to have up sometime next year:  www.ggaskin.com and www.nolasux.com I've been uploading most of my newer pics to photobucket.com (just search for ggaskin) since I've changed computers. (I didn't back up my site from the hard drive doh!)

Now, a  little about myself. My name is Geoffrey, I am married to Ginger. We have 2 Yorkshire Terrier's (Knucklehead and Butch) and 1 kitty (Violet). We met, were married and lived in Monroe until 2000.  We both graduated from Northeast Louisiana University, now known as the Univ. of La. at Monroe (ULM),  in 1998.  I am from the large "town" of Pitkin which is near Ft. Polk.  My parents still reside there and my mom runs her internet business, Country Yarns, from an area that doesn't even have cable TV!   Ginger is from Fluker/Roseland which is on the north shore, where her father and brothers still reside.  I have a sister that lives in Phoenix and Ginger has a sister in Ohio (also a ULM grad).

In May of 2000, I accepted a job at the New Orleans International Airport as an Operations Supervisor. We packed up our junk and moved to Kenner where we lived until 2006. Ginger took a position with Cummins Midsouth, LLC.  I received a BS from the Aviation Management program and Ginger received a degree in the Nursery Daycare Management program.

As you all know, Katrina hit South East Louisiana hard. Ginger left on Sunday and went to her dad's in Fluker. I was called into work.  Yes, I was in New Orleans the whole time. I lived at the airport for three weeks, and it was crazy during the days of evacuation/rescue operations after the storm.  Our house survived with only a tree on it... no flooding.  Soon after the storm, the city of New Orleans decided to lay off workers and our department lost half of our people. Not just anyone, but the idiots that run the airport decided to let go some of our best people. This really upset those of us that stayed.  I promptly called my buddy Keith at ATL and said "what's open".  Next thing you know, I have an interview at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport... the world's busiest airport.  I accepted the job offer, and in February 2006, we moved again.  Ginger accepted a similar position with Cummins Power South, who just so happened to be located near the airport.  We currently live in Newnan, Georgia and we commute to work together on mon/tues/wed.

As you start to browse the site, you'll notice that I'm into most things outdoors.  ATVs, aviation, hunting, etc.  Right now, I can't say what my biggest interests are.  We try and go to car shows and events like that. I've been to the Atlanta Motor Speedway a few times. It's nice that it's only 30 minutes away.  We live in an apartment, so I don't have my storage shed anymore, that myself and my dad built, to work in.  We still have one ATV, but never ride it, so it'll probably be gone soon.  We are getting close to the end of our lease on our apartment, so we've started looking at house. Hopefully, we'll have one soon. We need a garage!  With a garage, at least I would have a place to tinker with the GTO.  My other interests include electronics, computers, home theater, NASCAR (check out my NASCAR site!) and playing with webpages and vB message boards.

I'll try and  update this more often, to keep all of our friends back home up to date on our adventures in Georgia. I've waited nearly 8 months just to do this front page, so be patient.  In the mean time, feel free to drop me a line via email or IM! I even have a, dare I say it, myspace page :( So does Ginger.

Geoffrey
