Here is my bio on ATV's.  I just copied this from a little bio I did in my ATV Connection gallery that can be seen here.

I have been riding since I was about 7 or 8 years old. My dad was always into motorcycles, so it was natural that he bought a 3 wheeler when they became popular in the early 80's. Our first bike was Yamaha 125 2 stroke w/ oil injection (if I remember correctly!).

This bike was pretty awesome at the time. Most other bikes were 110's, so my dad would always outrun his friends . In 83 (or 84), Yamaha came out with their first 4 wheeler, the Moto 4 200. My dad and his State Police buddies all ordered one. The old 3 wheeler became mine! I guess I was about 10? Every weekend, my dad, me and my sis would go on rides with one of my dad's friends. We usually went to Ft. Polk and road in the tank ranges. You can ride for hours out there!

We eventually ended up with a second Moto 4, I think one of my dad's coworkers got bored with his, and my dad bought it. My first 4 wheeler!

Basically, that is how it started. 90% of our riding was done in Ft Polk or Kisatchie Natl' Forest.

I don't remember exactly when, but we ended up buying a new Moto 4 250. It was a big utility bike with hi/lo range and a speedometer. I think I was around 11 or 12.

By the time I was 13, I was ready for my own bike, and not a hand me down. My dad said if I did well in school, he would buy me a bike of my choice. At this time, my friends were riding Warriors and 250x's, so I knew I wanted a sport bike. I test rode a Blaster and loved it! I had ridden my bud's 250x and liked it too!

We were all set on a new Blaster, when my dad found SWEET deal on an 88 250x that was owned by an older lady. She bought it for her grandson to ride when he came in to visit, but he had no interest in it. She used it to ride to church! That is all it was used for!!! We ended up getting it for about $1800. I rode this bike to DEATH! I rode it every day. I rode everywhere on it. That 250x was a bulletproof bike! Me and my bud's would ride 2 or 3 people on it going to the creek (on our property) to go swimming! Hell, on one ride, I was doing donughts and the chain came off the sprocket. It slammed into the case and cracked it, letting all of my oil drain out. I drove that sucker home, with no oil in it... JB welded the case, and kept on riding it!

The one thing I really didn't like about the x was the rear end. I was ALWAYS having to change the bearing. I then started having trouble with the hubs and the splines on the axle. Since the splines were all worn down (I assume from riding on pavement too much) we had to tack weld the hubs to the axle every time we wanted to change the bearings. This was getting old! As I started college in 93, she started to smoke and the axle wasn't getting any better. Since I was away from home, I had no time to ride it. We decided to sale it instead of working on it anymore

I sold this bike in 94 for $1500. I rode it for 5 or 6 years, HARD, and sold it for 300 less then what I paid for it!

I miss that bike and wish I would have never sold it now

Anyways, while I had my X, my dad bought a Timberwolf for him and my sis. It was a first year model, not sure what that is. He eventually ended up with a second one, once again, helping a coworker out  We rode those until we killed the rear ends on them riding thru mud constantly! My parent's live on 120 acres, and alot of it is swamp.

Basicaly, I didn't own a bike for about 4 years, which was just a well, since I was in college and had little time to ride. I would ride the T'wolf whenever I went home for a weekend.

I graduated in 98, married a month later, and our first major purchase was a 99 Wolverine. Great bike! We took it on many rides with friends. We soon realized it just wasn't big enough for us, so we bought a 02 Grizzly 660, or as my wife calls it "bad boy 660". IMO, this is the BEST all around bike ever made. Fast, powerful, can go ANYWHERE! You name it, it can just about do it! We have had the bike for just over a year now and have barely put 24 hrs and 150 miles on it.

We moved to New Orleans from Monroe in 2000, and didn't really find many riding places here, like we had in Monroe (cross the road, hit the high line and ride forever!) Basically, we don't get to ride much, unless we go to my parent's. Well, we knew we wanted another bike, so we could BOTH go riding on our own bikes at the Bonnet Carre (sp?) Spillway.... so, today (28 Jun) we purchased a 2003 Raptor!

The Raptor (and the Grizzly) were both purchased from Bardwell Yamaha in Brookhaven Ms. Bubba will give you a price that is 99% impossible to beat, without you having to haggle!

We look forward to riding as much as possible as often as possible.

Future? hmm.. hard to tell, I am sure our 660's will suit us fine for a long time, but who knows.. maybe a second sport bike? If the wife likes the Raptor enough, I imagine we could be a triple ATV family  Maybe a baby Raptor for any future Kraw's
